Dear Students, Families and Community Members,

As we begin another great school year, I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our children. We will accomplish this by setting high academic and behavioral expectations for all children and providing a supportive system of learning. By addressing school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, increased academic expectations for all students and engaging the community, it is our goal to ensure that all graduates are college and/or career ready.
         On behalf of the faculty and staff at Cedar Vale Schools, it is my pleasure to welcome you and your student to our school family.  My past experience has shown me that it takes a team to help all students reach their maximum potential.  I will work collaboratively with our teachers to provide an academic program where all students are provided the tools necessary to be successful and grow as learners.  The caring and dedicated faculty and staff at Cedar Vale Schools will continue to encourage all students to set high goals for themselves and to reach for their dreams.
            It is my hope that all students get involved in our school through athletics, music, student leadership, community volunteerism and school activities and clubs. Working together, we can ensure that the students of Cedar Vale Schools continue to achieve their highest potential in the classroom, gym, on stage or on the field.  Your involvement, partnership and support are greatly encouraged and appreciated as we work to build and maintain our programs.
             I sincerely hope you will take time to look through our web page and facebook to learn about the opportunities available to all students who are members of our Cedar Vale Schools’ family.  Since we are a Title I School a comprehensive school wide plan is available for your review at our school site and upon request. You are encouraged to submit comments and suggestions concerning the school wide plan and inquire of available services such as the k-8 after school assistance program, in class support and additional academic support for students that may be struggling with academic concepts.
            I am confident that this will be an outstanding school year and I look forward to working with the staff and community to continue the Cedar Vale Schools tradition of academic and athletic excellence!
