With the help of Caney Valley Electric, the third graders will be testing their contraptions in our annual egg drop competition, this Wednesday, 3 PM. All are invited to come and watch.
Our 8-12 band performed for the KSHSAA State Large Group Music Festival yesterday at Ark City High School. We are proud of our band students, especially the group of seniors who made their final contest performance yesterday. Spring concert is May 13th at Hewins Park!

We are super proud of our middle school track stars! Some awesome results at Eureka last night. In addition to individual results our 6/7 boys and 6/7 girls placed 1st in overall team points! Catch us in action tomorrow at Central!
2nd graders experimenting if plants can germinate and grow using different types of liquids as well as without sunlight. They chose to "water it" using Gatorade Zero & V8 juice.
Elementary Art class has been learning about and creating "Ojo de Dios", God's Eye; a Native American design from Mexico. The students learned about the history as well as weaving techniques and symmetry of the art design elements. Our Freshman along with Mrs McCall "buddied-up" with our K/1 students to help us create these beautiful pieces.

2nd grade has been learning about plant parts and what it takes for a seed to grow. Thanks to Kansas Corn for providing us with the materials for each student to plant their own corn plant! Excited to watch and record the growth!
Tonight is the night! Please come out from 7:30-8:00 to watch the Drive-thru and Grand March and view the decorations. The students would love to show off their hard work to the community!

Thankful to recognize our amazing Para Team on Paraprofessional Day! Yes, they are all decked out for a much deserved, soon to be here, summer break! Kindergarten is learning all about weather and what better day, than a stormy morning, to learn about how rain is made. We did a Rain in a Jar experiment to simulate rain clouds. ☔️ 🌧️ ⛅️
Middle School Track will not travel to Dexter today for practice. Bus students will ride the bus as usual. Practice will end by end of school day.

Middle School Track Update
Middle school track athletes are encouraged to pack a bag with clothing suitable for all weather conditions. The school will provide a sack lunch and an afternoon snack for all athletes.
We will continue to monitor the weather closely. Any updates or changes to the competition schedule will be shared via Thrillshare and CVS social media.
