Lane: I was in the fourth grade.

Lane: I have earned 51 college credits and auto tech certification
What are your next steps?
Lane: I plan to go back to Cowley and finish my associates degree.

Lane: My parents
What is your favorite school memory?
Lane: Going to Regionals in Baseball
What are you most excited for next?
Lane: Getting outta high school

Lane: I don’t know what my success will be yet.

Lane: Have fun in high school

What year did you begin school at CVS?
Devonte: Second grade
What are your next steps?
Devonte: I am going to Coffeville, playing football and majoring in sports medicine.
Who is someone special that you would like to give a shoutout to?
Devonte: There is really a few people, one is my dad and then Lane and Myles
What is your favorite school memory?
Devonte: Senior trip when Mr. Fox decided to race Mr. Shockley
What are you most excited for next?
Devonte: Really just getting out and exploring, getting to see what this world is about and I hope to God that it goes in my favor.
What are your views on success?
Devonte: It took me a while to realize this when my Dad would tell me: Success comes to those who work for it, not just in sports or in practice, your success comes with work that you put in.. you get out what you put into it.
Do you have any advice for those entering high school?
Devonte: Listen to your parents, they know way more than what you do and stay in your lane. Do what you know that you can do
How strict would you say that your parents were during high school?
Devonte: I wouldn’t call them strict, they were just trying to protect me.
Who Was Your Favorite Teacher?
Devonte: Mrs. McGee, fourth grade
What Was Your Favorite Toy Growing Up?
Devonte: My favorite toy was a Gen 1 Optimus Prime
What is the best advice you’ve received?
Devonte: This came from my dad and coach, You get out of it what you put in.

Kinlee is the daughter of Joel Haden and Kelle Ireland Haden. Her activities are basketball, track, NHS and class officer. Kinlee earned Dual Credit Cowley County Community College in Welding. She was named the 2024 CTE Student of the Year at Cowley County Community College.

Kinlee: Welding Certification
What are your next steps?
Kinlee: I am planning to work a couple of years and plan to jockey horses in the future.

Kinlee: my mom, my dad, my family Mr. Fox, Mr. Werner, Clint and Johnna …
What is your favorite school memory?
Kinlee: One time Brylee and I were driving around by the pool and Brylee ran over an electric pole used as the parking stop and it felt like we fell off the face of the earth.
What are you most excited for next?
Kinlee: Growing up, learning a lot and enjoying the little things
What are your views on success?
Kinlee: Success is being able to be confident in what you say and what you do and taking pride in it, looking back and knowing it was time well spent.
Do you have any advice for those entering high school?
Kinlee: Stay true to yourself because you are the one that is going to be there at the end of the day … and don’t take crap from anyone.
How strict would you say that your parents were during high school?
Kinlee: They weren’t strict, they knew that I wouldn’t be doing stupid things.

Myles: I plan on graduating high school and working to get some money. I plan to go to college.

Myles: I think on our senior trip when Mr. Fox was trying to race Mr. Shockley.

Myles: Probably just getting out of High School and enrolling in Cowley College or WSU

Shyann is the daughter of Elijah and Mellisa Bonnell. Her activities have included Cheer, Volleyball, Track, NHS, STUCO, Class Officer, Math Team, Band, Honors Band and Lion’s Club Honor Student.

Shyann: I was in the 8th grade.

Shyann: I took Intro into Criminal Justice, CCCC
What are your next steps?
Shyann: I am going to KState to double major in Psychology and Criminology

Shyann: My Dad!
What is your favorite school memory?
Shyann: I think when Mr. Werner electrocuted our class.
What are you most excited for next?
Shyann: I am excited about meeting new people and starting a new future.

Shyann: When you are happy with your own path and you don’t let other people’s judgment blind you.

Shyann: Life is short, don’t get caught up in all the drama and grades do matter in the long run

Shyann: My dad was pretty strict my Freshman and Sophomore year and then let up my Junior and Senior year.

Announcing the Class of 2024 Commencement Ceremony. The event will be held on Saturday, May 18, 10:00am at the Cedar Vale Schools' gymnasium. Shyann Bonnell is the 2024 Valedictorian and Daesie Dennis is the 2024 Salutatorian. Congratulations Seniors!

4th grade got to eat lunch with the teacher yesterday for our ABC countdown to the end of the year!

Regional Baseball Tournament will start Wednesday, May 8th at Dexter. The Spartans will play the 2nd game which will start approximately at 5 pm. They will be playing Udall then either Medicine Lodge or Central of Burden. These boys are fun to watch. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the fun. Good Luck Spartans

Today some of our junior and senior students attended Galaxy Technology Career Day. Students were guided through various career opportunities within the company, on the job training, application and interview processes. They finished the tour with a pizza lunch and prize drawing. Experiences like these provide our students with career options that they can begin planning for during their high school years. Thank you Galaxy Technology for inviting us
