Cedar Vale Schools held the local 4th-8th Grade Spelling Bee Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Our Spelling Champion is eighth grader, Wyatt Barney and Runner-up is sixth grader, Emmett Barney. Our class winners representing Cedar Vale Schools at the Chautauqua County Spelling held at Cedar Vale Schools on February 21, 2024:

Congratulations to senior Shyann Bonnell for being selected as a SCBL Academic All League Player. Shyann is one of only 24 seniors in the SCBL to be selected. She will be recognized during the SCBL Tournament at CCCC on Saturday Jan 20, 2024
The Spartans games tonight at West Elk will be VARSITY ONLY with the game time of 5 pm. Good Luck Spartans in the first round of the SCBL Tournament.

SCBL HS Basketball Tournament will start Saturday, January 13th with the play-in games. The Lady Spartans are entering the tournament as the number 3 seed and will play Sedan on Monday, January 15th at Dexter. The Spartans are number 5 seed and will play West Elk at West Elk on Tuesday, January 16th.
The 6th and 7th grade students will begin their fundraiser tomorrow through the end of January. They will be selling a variety of the World's Finest Chocolate Bars for $1 each. You can choose from milk chocolate, almond, W.F. Crisp, caramel, dark chocolate, and wafer. If you are interested in purchasing a chocolate bar for only a dollar, please find a 6th or 7th grade student. You can also contact Mrs. Ross.
Cedar Vale Schools will be closed on Tuesday, january 9th. No evening activities
