🏆 Preschool awards! 🏆

Your jr. high Spartans have been working hard the last two weeks in preparation for a great season. Season opens November 15th in Cedar Vale!

1st grade learned about the Engineering Design Process this week in Science! Then, they put the process to the test to try and build the tallest Pumpkin Tower! We learned that failure is an important part of the process and is part of being successful! 🎃

Mr. Mark McGuigan, Mid-Continent Financial-Ark City, was a guest speaker in our Financial Literacy Course. His presentation focused on the importance of investing and saving. “Start early, stay consistent over time, and take a comprehensive approach.” We are very thankful for his time and his willingness to invest in our students.

Elementary students can't wait to show their parents what they bought today with their hard-earned Bronco bucks! Store day means shopping and working at the store.

Cedar Vale School was fortunate to host Corporal Ryan Ware, Cowley sheriff”s Dept, as a guest speaker to visit with our students about school safety. The CV Board is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for our students and staff. ALICE is a protocol that enhances that mission. The acronym stands for ALERT ( maintain good situational awareness), LOCKDOWN (secure your room), INFORM (provide real time information), COUNTER (provide distractions/movement) and EVACUATE (remove yourself from danger as safely as possible. Corporal Ware shared with students their safety is priority one. Students trained on evacuating classrooms by the emergency exits each room has. Schools are safer by having an informed student body and positive relationship with law enforcement. Lance Rhodd, USD 285 Superintendent

Families please be aware that there is a social media app that is marketed towards teens that states: “This new app just came out for CVHS” It shows cvhs.gas app.co. This app is NOT affiliated with Cedar Vale Schools in any way

Mrs. Shockley’s Family Group had lots of fun with our Hay Bale Scavenger Hunt! 🍁🎃💜
