The Cedar Vale FFA student families & CVS hosted a benefit Chili Dinner at the MS Basketball game vs Sedan on January 16. Together our two communities raised over $1650 for the Denise Signer Family. Today a few of our 'behind the scenes' helpers presented the proceeds to our FFA sponsor Ms Kayla Signer. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen and certainly to all of those that donated. #TCVC #purplecrush

Cedar Vale FFA will hold a Chili benefit/ fundraiser this evening at 5 PM in the school cafeteria for Denise Signer. Mrs. Signer is the mother of Kayla Signer, CVS agriculture instructor and FFA leader. Mrs. Signer has contributed tirelessly the past two years at the Labor Day weekend rodeo concessions. In December, Mrs. Signer spent 16 days in the Heart Institute of Oklahoma due to her heart and kidneys failing. She was able to return home over Christmas for a few days with the help of great medical technology. She is currently at St. Luke's in Kansas City being evaluated for a heart and kidney transplant. It is our desire to see two great communities in Chautauqua County come together as one to help the Signer family during this time of need. All and any contributions are greatly appreciated.
The MS teams split tonight in Dexter against Flinthills with the A and B team boys winning, but the girls falling short. They are in action again tomorrow night in Cedar Vale!
