1st grade has been learning about who and what engineers do. They have also been learning about how patterns can help increase stability and strengthen every day items. Students were in charge of creating a skyscraper. Then after some thought, and questioning they had to go back and redesign their original plans. 1st attempt most went for height not caring about stability or if anyone could ever go in their creation. The second attempt they discovered larger base better stability and more strength.

Middle school volleyball played a great day of volleyball at the Dexter tournament, winning against Sedan, West Elk and Udall but fell to Flint Hills in the last game of the day. Great jobs girls!!

Please note that Tuesday is different for elementary as they will dress nicely for school pictures. The 6-12 should dress for school pictures but bring their twisted crazy attire to change into after their pictures!
