The rain didn't slow down the flight interest group today. The boys flew the plane in the gym for the first time and had fun with the drones!




Fifth graders are learning about ecosystems in science. We created our own little ecosystem by making a terrarium this week.





7-12 band students should take their instruments with them after school for the Meet the Spartans event. If they are unable the school will be unlocked from 5:50-6:00. Report time is 6:00-6:15 at the Pavilion. Let's have a great first performance!

Our elementary family groups spent some time giving back to the community this morning. Students worked together to clean up the town in preparation for the upcoming Labor Day celebrations. Mrs. McClure's family group helped clean up Hewins Park.

These 3 students have dedicated late Friday mornings to fine tune their woodworking skills. After taking their safety test. Ty is planning on building two gun cabinets, Brayden two dressers, and Aspen a washer and dryer bases for her mom. Time to get some wood ordered. 🪵—Mr. Kuntz

These 8th graders are learning basic drafting in Friday morning shop class. Drafting will help them down the road reading blueprints or designing a new product. Another skill to add to their resume. Good group to teach!—Mr. Kuntz

Cedar Vale Schools would like to welcome our new Social Science teacher, David Means. Mr. Means has been teaching for 20 years. He is a 4th generation teacher and feels like it’s in his blood to be a teacher, plus he enjoys teaching. Mr. Means has previously taught P.E., English, MS Science, Family and Consumers Science, and Tech. Mr. Means stated that his favorite subject is American history.
Mr. Means has seven kids six are girls and a boy. He also has two grandchildren.
Mr. Means lived in Dexter for 18 years on his family farm. He now lives in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. Mr. Means' wife is from Burden. He likes to garden. He has a fruit orchard. In his free time he sings with his brother.

Interest groups kicked off today, and these young gentlemen took advantage of the sunshine and calm skies with a little hands-on flying practice! Perfect weather for a first lesson.
